Dr. Rick Lubitz grew up in West Long Branch, New Jersey. He attended Shore Regional High School and after graduating with an A.A. and B.S. from Monmouth University and Dental School at the University of Medicine and Rutgers Dental School in 1976, he decided to establish his practice in his home town to serve the community where he grew up.
He followed in his grandfather’s footsteps by pursuing a career in dentistry. He also determined to consistently pursue excellence in the field so he can provide the latest treatments to his patients. His goal is to alleviate the anxiety commonly associated with dental treatment. With his pleasant, jovial personality and his gentle touch, he tries to make patients feel comfortable from the time they walk in to the time they finish receiving dental care. Dr. Rick is always taking continuing education courses to expand and improve the services he offers his patients.
He is certified in Invisalign® (invisible braces) and in Oral Conscious Sedation. Over the past 30 years, Dr. Lubitz has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, Cable TV’s “Putting First Things First”, and in several magazine and newspaper articles for his unique approach to dental care. He also volunteers to serve the community by doing school presentations on preventive dental health.
Dr. Rick is a devoted father of three children. He loves animals, electronic gadgetry, biking, snorkeling, and boating. He is also an avid pinball enthusiast and restorer. He can often be found at the Silver Ball Museum in Asbury Park, where he volunteers as the museum’s historian. Patients appreciate Dr. Rick’s caring personality, gentle approach, and dedication to excellence
